Having seen off the challenges of Penarth and Monkstone in the group stages, the duo will battle it out in Pentwyn in the morning, before the Sunday afternoon climax in Monkstone Petanque Club.
Looking forward to Sundays event, Caerleon captain Tansy Mayfield said;
“We’ll be taking eight players to the finals as we’re expecting it to be a long and probably wet day.
“Seven players have played in previous matches but making his first appearance will be John Price who is heading back from several weeks playing Petanque in sunny Tenerife to enjoy a day of boules in Welsh weather!
“We’ve won all 3 matches so far, so we would dearly like to make it a clean sweep but we’re expecting it to be a tough encounter as Wenvoe have also had good results.
“We’ve got some experienced players in our side and a good club mentality, so we’d love the chance to represent Wales and play in the Europeans” concluded Welsh International Mayfield.
Wenvoe haven’t finalised their squad yet but captain Bob Pugh added; “We would like to wish our friends from Caerleon RFC PC good luck in the finals, but warn them we’re looking for revenge for them beating us in the round-robin.”
