DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day (IWD) is a wonderful opportunity to bring together women from across Wales who enjoy the game of petanque. This year’s theme for IWD is “Give to Gain” with a focus on generosity and collaboration. \nArrival Time: 10 am\nStart Time: 10:30 am\nFinish Time: About 2:30 pm \nFormat: 3 Round Melee \nThere will be Refreshments and Prizes \n£5 cash contribution on the day \nTo make the day better\, wear something Purple\, Green or White (or all three). \nWe invite all Women members (and their friends and family) to come together in celebration of International Women’s Day. SUMMARY:3-2-1 Series
DESCRIPTION:The 3-2-1 series returns! Each competition starts and finishes with your team playing triples – in between your team splits to play parallel doubles and singles games.\n\nAs with last year\, we are running the 3-2-1 as a competition series. You can enter a single comp or – if you are up for a challenge – you can enter all 3 events. Teams entering more than one event accumulate points towards a season ranking: can your mini-squad take the top spot?\n\nAround 70% of the entry fee for each event will go back as prizes on the day\, with 15% going into the accumulator pot. If we have 12 teams at each event this means 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd prizes of £60\, £45and £30 on the day\, with £36 going into the accumulator pot.\n\nEach competition is limited to 12 teams of 3 players*. This is an Open event so no licence is needed. The coffee shop should be open – and they serve good food too – but feel free to bring lunch and flask: the bar will open at 12pm.\n\nRegistration is 9.15 to 9.30. We will play timed games\, and should be wrapped up by 4.30pm.\n\nEntry is £21 per team for each competition\, and is secured by pre-pay only.\n\nTo register\, email caerleon.petanque@yahoo.co.uk – we will send bank info and rules by return\n*teams entering more than one event can include a 4th player for the series – but only 3 can play on the day: but please note rules for teams of 4 which will be sent out in response to email enquiries.
