DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day (IWD) is a wonderful opportunity to bring together women from across Wales who enjoy the game of petanque. SUMMARY:3-2-1 Series
DESCRIPTION:The 3-2-1 series returns! Each competition starts and finishes with your team playing triples – in between your team splits to play parallel doubles and singles games.\n\nAs with last year\, we are running the 3-2-1 as a competition series. You can enter a single comp or – if you are up for a challenge – you can enter all 3 events. Teams entering more than one event accumulate points towards a season ranking: can your mini-squad take the top spot?\n\nAround 70% of the entry fee for each event will go back as prizes on the day\, with 15% going into the accumulator pot. If we have 12 teams at each event this means 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd prizes of £60\, £45and £30 on the day\, with £36 going into the accumulator pot.\n\nEach competition is limited to 12 teams of 3 players*. This is an Open event so no licence is needed. The coffee shop should be open – and they serve good food too – but feel free to bring lunch and flask: the bar will open at 12pm.\n\nRegistration is 9.15 to 9.30. We will play timed games\, and should be wrapped up by 4.30pm.\n\nEntry is £21 per team for each competition\, and is secured by pre-pay only.\n\nTo register\, email caerleon.petanque@yahoo.co.uk – we will send bank info and rules by return\n*teams entering more than one event can include a 4th player for the series – but only 3 can play on the day: but please note rules for teams of 4 which will be sent out in response to email enquiries.
