Junior/Adult Open Doubles-Postponed

May 24

  • « National Championship Singles: Men & Women
  • Liss-vye-naze International Doubles Petanque Tournament »

Unfortunately, this event has had to be postponed due to personal circumstances. However, the competition will be rescheduled later in the year.

A junior/adult doubles competition offers numerous benefits for juniors and adults, fostering growth, learning, and community building. Here are some key advantages:

For Juniors

  1. Skill Development – Playing alongside an experienced adult helps juniors learn strategies, positioning, and decision-making.
  2. Confidence Boost – Competing with an adult partner provides reassurance, helping young players build self-confidence.
  3. Mentorship – Juniors receive guidance and constructive feedback, accelerating their improvement.
  4. Exposure to Competitive Play – It introduces them to a different style of play, enhancing adaptability.
  5. Social Growth – Interacting with adults improves communication skills and sportsmanship.

For Adults

  1. Leadership and Teaching Opportunities – Adults can mentor juniors, reinforcing their knowledge.
  2. Fresh Perspective – Playing with juniors brings energy and creativity into their game.
  3. Community Engagement – Strengthens bonds between different generations of players.
  4. Encourages Patience and Teamwork – Adapting to a junior’s style fosters better communication and cooperation.
  5. More Fun & Variety – It provides a unique, enjoyable challenge compared to regular adult competitions.
