Coaching in Wales
The coaching structure in the WPA is set up to develop and improve the playing skills of members at all levels of the game in Wales.
We have a number of qualified coaches available to run training sessions and work with players to raise standards throughout the game in Wales and to provide increased levels of competition.
We are also keen to attract experienced players to become coaches and pass on their knowledge and experience to future generations. To that end, we also arrange and run coaching courses to allow members to become qualified to train others. All qualified coaches are CRB-checked and hold a licence issued by the WPA.
Our coaches work to their personal development plan and are assessed regularly to ensure that the delivery of coaching is consistent across the game in Wales.
If you or your club would like the WPA to run a training session, please contact me or a club coach near you. Our active coaches are listed here.
If you want to become a coach in Wales, please click here to download an application form.
Training sessions for WPA-affiliated clubs are free of charge. If your club is not currently affiliated, please get in touch with the National Coach to find out more.
Our coaches look forward to working with you and helping your game become the best it can be!
