Each year members of the WPA travel to international championships throughout mainland Europe and the rest of the world to represent Wales in our sport.
The World Championships (WC) are organised by the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP), the World Governing body of the sport of pétanque.
While all European Championships (EC) are organised by the European Governing body of the sport in Europe, the Confédération Européenne de Pétanque (CEP).
Every year there is also the opportunity for members to represent Wales here in the UK.
The Domestic Championships held annually in the UK are organised by the Association hosting the event for the current year, the two main Domestic Championships held each year are:
- Home Nations Championship
- Celtic Challenge
In addition, subject to an invitation from Pétanque England (PE), there is the opportunity to represent the WPA in the PE Inter-Regional Championships.
Each of these events has their own Domestic Representation Qualifying event (see Playing Calendar for details and the Competitions page for entrance details).
