The WPA holds two open competitions yearly, the President’s Cup and Novice Cup and the Peter Westall Cup and Novice Cup. Entry to these competitions is open to all WPA members and non-members alike.

The Novice Cup competitions are ideal for new players with little playing and/or competition experience.

The President’s Cup/Novice Cup are both triples competitions, where teams can be mixed if desired.

• Saturday 22nd March 2025 – The President’s Novice Cup
• Sunday 23rd March 2025 – The President’s Cup

Registration is now closed until 2026.

The Peter Westall Cup/Novice Cup are both doubles competitions; again, teams can be mixed.

• Saturday 7th June 2025 – The Peter Westall Novice Cup.
• Sunday 8th June 2025 – The Peter Westall Cup.

The Novice Cup competition is ideal for players new to the sport and those with up to 5 years of club-centric play but little experience playing in competitions. This competition is designed to be fun, where you will learn new game elements.

Most importantly, it will not take up the whole day.
