Open Competitions – Welsh Pétanque Association

The WPA holds two open competitions yearly, the President’s Cup and Novice Cup and the Peter Westall Cup and Novice Cup. Entry to these competitions is open to all WPA members and non-members alike.

The Novice Cup competitions are for WPA Affiliate Members or equivalent who are new to the sport and for those with up to 2 years of club-centric play but little experience playing in competitions. This competition is designed to be fun, where you will learn new game elements.

Most importantly, it will not take up the whole day.

The President’s Cup/Novice Cup are a triple competition, where teams can be mixed if desired.
