Playing Calendar
All WPA events are closed to non-WPA members. Players seeking to qualify for Wales must be full members of the WPA and meet any other criteria set by the WPA.
Venues for all the events still need to be confirmed. These will be added as we confirm them. If your club is interested in hosting any of the published competitions, please contact an Executive Member.

Peter Westall Cup – FULL
June 8
Registration:
Sunday 8th June at 09h00 to 09h30
Competition Formats:
- Morning Qualification – Rounds 3, 6 and 9 from a 10-round Snake format.
- Afternoon – Knockout
- Teams ranked 1 to 8 will progress to the Peter Westall Cup
- Teams ranked 9 to 16 will progress to the Silver Competition.
- Teams ranked 17 to 20 will progress to the Bronze Competition.
Rules of Play:
- The Official Rules of the Sport of Pétanque
- Qualification rounds: The games will be timed.
- Elimination Rounds: The games will be untimed.
- Lanes will be allocated
Number of Teams: 20
Play Begins: 10h00 – latest
Matches will be timed for one hour plus one end.
An extra end will be played if the score is tied after one hour plus one end.
During this extra end, the jack cannot become dead (out of play). If the jack leaves the defined playing area, it is returned to its original position. The jack must be marked at all times.
