It is my sad duty to announce the passing of Gloria Davies on Monday, 17th July, after a short illness after being taken ill playing a recent league match.

Gloria was a long-serving and integral member of the Wenvoe Petanque Club and the WPA and played regularly in the league; many of us were victims of her consistent pointing even just before her being taken ill.

Gloria represented Wales at the Celtic Challenge in 2010.

Gloria had a lovely personality, was always courteous to everyone, and will be sadly missed.

The membership of the WPA sends our heartfelt condolences to Gloria’s family at this very difficult time.

The funeral will be held on Friday, August 18th 2023, at 14h00 at Barry Crematorium and after at The Beech Tree, Old Port Road, Wenvoe, CF5 6XN.

Gloria’s family have requested that Wenvoe PC members wear their Club shirts.
