Club Coaching Sessions
The WPA encourages all affiliated clubs to have at least one member qualified as a Club Coach, who will organise training and coaching for new and novice members.
If your club does not have a Club Coach, training sessions can be organised for you, which are aimed at new and novice players and are free of charge to all affiliated clubs. If you wish to arrange a training session at your club, please get in touch with the National Coach.
Coaching sessions can also be arranged for non-affiliated clubs. Again, please contact the National Coach to discuss your requirements.
Introductory Session
For the new members of your club, we can offer a 2-hour introductory session which includes the following topics.
- The playing area
- Health and Safety.
- Physical capabilities of the player.
- How to hold the boule.
- What is the correct way to throw a boule?
- How to point in a standing position (low, mid & high).
- How to point in a crouching position (low, mid & high).
- Shooting
- Basic rules
- Finish with a game.
