The Management Committee has been notified of the sad news of the sudden passing of Ian Campbell at the age of 76.

Ian was an active member of Monkstone Petanque Club regularly playing during their club get togethers and also played in the National League as a member of the Monkstone Monarchs.

At Sunday’s (22nd February) club play Ian agreed to be vice-captain of the Monarch’s and was looking forward to the start of the league in April, sadly this will now continue without Ian, but he will be remembered.

Our thoughts are deepest sympathy are obviously with Ian’s immediate family at this most difficult time.
