National Triples: Women – Welsh Pétanque Association

Each year the female members of the WPA have the opportunity to play in a National Triples Championship to establish the best Women’s triple team in Wales, this is always dependant on the number of entries.

The 1st and 2nd placed team from the Women’s Triples Championship will be invited to participate in the selection process to represent the WPA at the 2016 CEP’s Women’s European Championships.

However, the 1st placed team will each be invited to represent the WPA at different nominated events on mainland Europe.

Each year the Ladies selected to represent Wales will have the opportunity to play in either the Women’s World Championship (held in odd years) or the Women’s European Championship (held in even years). Since becoming a member of the FIPJP and CEP Wales have successfully sent a Women’s Squad each year to the World and European Championships.
