The opening day of the Nations Veterans Cup was played in glorious sunshine at Monkstone Petanque Club. After 7 rounds Denmark are the clear leaders in the overall Nations competition and will prove very difficult to catch in the remaining 3 rounds tomorrow morning.

The individual Team competition is much closer with Denmark 1 & 2 , Holland 1 and Norway 1 in close contention with Jersey 1 not far behind.

As for Wales  …….  let’s just say they have a lot to do!!
